SHOOTING AT FENNES
Our Grounds and Facilities.
Fennes Shooting Ground is predominantly a sporting shooting ground, however are proud to a comprehensive facility for all shooters and disciplines and skills levels.
Alongside our sporting layouts, we also operate a dedicated skeet range and a down-the-line (DTL) range, giving you the chance to enjoy a well-rounded shooting experience.
PRACTICE
With 14 stands and over 50 traps, we offer a wide variety of targets designed to challenge shooters of all levels. Our Promatic card readers feature solo delay functionality, allowing you to shoot independently or enjoy the experience with friends.
OUR TOWERS
Our 120ft high tower with 8 targets offers the ideal opportunity to refine your technique on high, driven and crossing targets. Whether you’re preparing for the season or looking to enhance your skillset, it’s a valuable addition to any shooter’s training.
Our 60ft tower is equipped with four traps, including two oscillating traps for added unpredictability, our 60ft tower delivers a dynamic shooting experience. Perfect for simulating driven game and improving your consistency and control.
Whether you’re gearing up for the game season or simply looking to elevate your shooting ability, our towers provide the challenge and realism every shooter needs.
GROUND REGULATIONS
- All customers will be required to report to the Shoot Hut on arrival
- You MUST be a shotgun license holder (or be with someone that holds a licence) if completing a practice session. Please bring your shotgun license with you on the day. NB You do not need a licence to book a lesson.
- All payments are made on a pay and play basis, and it is CARD Payment only
- Please ensure you follow the strict behaviour code, ensuring safety regulations and all instructions issued by your instructor if you on a lesson.
- Appropriate safety equipment must always be worn including Safety Glasses, Ear Protection and Hat with a peak covering the face by all people on the ground.
- Sensible footwear must always be worn. NO OPEN TOE FOOTWEAR by all people on the ground.
- Guns must NOT be left unattended at any time on the Shooting Ground, in the Clubhouse or the surrounding areas.
- No alcohol can be consumed prior to shooting; you may purchase alcohol from the clubhouse once your shooting session is finished. Please note we have a two-drink limit.
- Guns must be broken and only loaded in the stands or the designated shooting position. Never point a gun at anyone even when unloaded.
- Semi-automatic guns must be seen to be safe with a safety flag inserted and always pointing up or kept in a gun slip between stands. Additionally, only two cartridges must be loaded into the chamber at one time.
- Last time of arrival onto the ground is an hour before closing time, if you would like to arrive after this, please call ahead to ensure you are able to shoot.
- Black powder cartridges are not permitted.
- Maximum shot weight is 28gms.
- Lead shot size 1-6 are not permitted.
- Steel shot size 5, 6 and 7 are permitted.
- Accidents must be reported immediately.
- All dogs must be kept on a lead and cleaned up after
- In extreme weather conditions some stands may need to close.
- Please note hot food and drinks are served in our Clubhouse are Monday to Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm and Saturdays 9.00am – 12:00pm.
